If you are reading this post, it means you are ready to start food exportation business to UK, USA, CANADA, AUSTRALIA, DUBAI and other countries.
Let me introduce myself!
My name is Abiodun Joshua. I was a trained teacher as I berged B.A.ED from University.
I taught for 8 years before I started food exportation business.
HOW DID I START?
I have a brother in the United Kingdom who is living there with his family. Yes, a very stingy brother! As a person, I don’t like begging people for money.
One day, he called me to help him get ‘ Garri Ijebu’ from Nigeria. Through his wife, I got to know that my brother was not comfortable with high cost of Nigerian food in the United Kingdom.
I helped him with the ‘ Garri’. I bought it and I added my own profit. He told me how to send it. Within 5 days, the ‘Garri’ landed in UK.
My brother was very happy with the price and the quality of the Garri. From that single transaction, I made a profit of N35,000 ( 70% of my monthly salary as a teacher). I was so happy with this.
My brother kept sending orders to me. From ‘ Garri’ to other local food stuffs. Not only him, my brother's wife linked me with her Nigerian friends and Neighbours in the UK. That was how I resigned as a teacher and faced food exportation business.
Today, my wife and I are into this business full time. I have gone beyond supplying individuals to supplying stores, supermarkets and companies.
Today, I supply food stuffs to the US, UK, CANADA, GERMANY, ETC. Check out my website www.psnstore.com.ng
WHY DO I NEED YOU TO JOIN ME?
I GET THIS KIND OF EMAIL ALMOST EVERYDAY, AND I AM NO LONGER EXPORTING TO INDIVIDUALS AGAIN. tHIS EMAIL BELOW IS FROM A WOMAN FROM FRANCE. CHECK THE DATE.
Why do I want people to join me in this business?
Won’t I spoil business for myself?
So many people in Nigeria today need another source of income. Most people have lost their jobs due to COVID.
I believe this is the best thing I can do to help!!!!! The simple answer is, I can’t meet the demand!
Right now, I am no longer supplying to individuals, yet I still get orders on daily basis.
The demand for African foodstuffs in Europe and America is rising due to increasing number of Africans, particularly Nigerians who sojourn to these countries for the proverbial greener pastures.
There are many small foodstuffs exporters in the West African sub region who depend on middlemen to export their produce in small quantities and sell to consumers or retailers running ethnic shops in the US and Europe.
The volume of Nigerian export of foodstuffs to these countries is still on a very small scale considering the estimation of well over 20 million Nigerians who reside outside the country, with the majority, living in the UK and the US. This is a great opportunity to sell to this category of people. The few exporters of African foodstuffs cannot meet with the demand of Nigerians whose population is increasing everyday abroad.
HOW PROFITABLE IT IS?
Let me give you a little story…
A cup of melon (Egusi) in Nigeria I mean the milk cup is about N200 (sometimes it’s less abi?).
Do you know what the same cup in Germany is …it cost at the retails shops for 4euro …and that is N1600+ current exchange rate … That means if you get 1000 cups which is just about 2 tons there.
You would have earned 4000 euro (multiply it in Naira and it will give you some millions).
Most foreign countries need it and the price is $20 per kg. You can make up to 100% gain in the ogbono seeds sale. Ogbono seeds can be sourced from Edo state. It doesn’t spoil easily so far its dried up well before packaging.
The demands for Garri is also high but when sending garri make sure you send quality ones without particles, I normally send ijebu, they prefer ijebu Garri more than any other, $6-8 while common garri is $4-5.
Here’s the thing… I can go on and on and on listing some of these products that you and I know here in Nigeria. All I want you to see is the high profit margin opportunity. These foodstuffs and agro products are scarce in overseas.
HOW TO SHIP?
Don’t allow that to bother you!
Buyers pay for shipping! I will teach you how to go about that. There are so many ways of shipping abroad from Nigeria.
I will give you their contacts. All you need to do is to call or visit their offices. They will tell you how much they charge per kg. The products will get to buyers between 3-5days.
HOW TO GET YOUR MONEY?
Do you have an account with the following bank; Gtbank, Firstbank, Zenith bank and Fidelity bank? If yes, you have no problem.
Better still, I will teach you how to open a Domiciliary Account with these banks. With your Domiciliary account, the buyer will pay you directly in dollars, and you can withdraw your money in dollar.
NOTE: The buyers pay part-payment before you send the products. I will teach you all these processes later.
Note: When you contact a buyer, they will ask you to send a sample. The buyer will pay for the sample and the shipping.
HOW DO I GET BUYERS?
This is the major challenge of the food stuff exporters. To me, it is very simple! I will help you with this. Don't allow this to bother you at all!
I will do it in two ways:
1. Teach you how to find buyers- Do you know you can get a buyer via facebook, Google, LinkedIn, etc. I will send you a video tutorials on how to find them. You will get their emails, phone numbers and locations. I will give you a sample of the letter you will send to them. You can change the structure of the letter to make it unique.
2. Through my search, I have a bulk of buyers' contacts of different food stuffs. I can help you with this. Please, note that I can’t give a buyer’s contact to two sellers. Let me know if you are ready now! But you need to keep searching and learn how to search through the video tutorial I will give you.
CATEGORIES OF BUYERS YOU CAN SELL TO
2. Food stores
4. Companies who need the agro-products as their raw materials.
WHAT ABOUT EXPORT LISENCE?
For now, you don't need any export lisence. Company registration is optional since you are doing it on a small scale, which means you are sending the foodstuffs through an individual.
The start-up capital is between N50, 000 to N200, 000, an e-mail address, a mobile phone and an account with a reputable bank here in Nigeria.
However, having a domiciliary account will be better, you don’t need previous experience in the field but you should have a "good head" for organising business.
As time goes on, I will teach you how you can get support from an organisation called Association of Micro-Entrepreneurs of Nigeria (AMEN), which will help you register. You can also make use of their factory site which will enable you operate the business successfully.
As a small investor you can send this product through NIPOST or by air. NIPOST has ready made cartons that can take up to 30kg. Perishable products are not allowed through the NIPOST because it takes up to five to seven working days before the products get to the UK and US, receptively. But you can send perishable items by air because it takes about eight hours to get there, depending on the country. Apart from NIPOST, there are other best options.

WHAT IS THE COST?
Honestly, you can't pay me for the information. But one thing I know is that Nigerians don't value FREE information.
Nigerians don't value what doesn't cost them. I believe if this info cost you then you will surely value it!
If I ask you to pay, and you pay. It means the following:
- You will be a food exporter that will not be looking for cheap products to ship to customers.
- You will surely take action on this info because it cost you.
By the time you start this business, you will understand what I am saying. So, I will need you to pay a sum of N2,000 to get this info. I will send it to your provided email address. You can also call me or whatsapp on 08099686351.
